Snook are pushing up into the Manatee river making fishing docks very productive. Live shrimp and scaled sardines freelined have been best. Sheepshead fishing has been good around the Manatee and Cortez bridge when it has been too windy to fish the inner bay artificial reefs. Mud and fiddler crabs have been more effective than shrimp. Some pompano and plenty of sharks along the beaches off Anna Maria.
