The Spring bite is in full effect in Lower Tampa Bay. The snook seem to be on any mangrove edge you pick to fish on the higher part of a tide. The redfish are in the mix as well. The warmer water should have the bait moving onto the flats in the next week or so. Plenty of Spanish mackerel around and the sheepshead spawn is still going strong on the inner bay artificial reefs. Sheepshead have been biting best on sheepball jigs tipped with live fiddler crabs or small pieces of shrimp.
