Tarpon Charters

Tarpon season in our area kicks off as early as late February on warmer years but typically fires up good mid March into April. The large migration of fish start to show up along our beaches and can be in schools of ten to upwards of five hundred fish. Our Tarpon season last throughout the summer months and even into fall. We target the Tarpon in many different areas. We like to fish the beaches, passes, bridges and river systems. The Manatee River is where Captain John lives and it produces a lot of Tarpon also. We use several different tactics and baits when fishing for the silver kings and always have multiple different baits on board so we have what they are feeding on that particular day. Night fishing can also be very effective and great for those who may be sensitive to the summer heat. Ask the Captain about booking nighttime trips. The fish you will be catching range in size as small as forty pounds and can exceed well over two hundred pounds. Tarpon fishing can be a battle between you and your fish with some fights taking way over an hour to bring them boat side.
